Trenton, a small town community where everyone knows everyone, this is my hometown. A town is a place in which you live in; it does not necessarily mean that it’s your home. I’ve got more then one place that feels like home to me and I believe that home is where your heart is. It can be a place where you don’t have to think about anything or a place where you go to think about everything, a place where you feel you belong, a place you feel loved, or even a place that you know like that back of your hand.
My home where I don’t need to think is in one room. The room has mirrors on three walls and is painted a soft shade of pink. It has long ballet bars that run from wall to wall parallel with the floor. The floor is empty except for a stereo that sits in the corner of the studio and plays the tune of the expressions moving through your body as you dance across the floor.
When I’m not dancing I hit the dirt. The softball field is my second home of not thinking just acting upon motion. Sliding into the base, throwing to make the out, bunting to help advance a runner, nothing is more thrilling then winning a big game. Here on the field, my team is my family. We are there for one another; we help each other all to reach the same goal.

Hockeytown is that one place I know like that back of my hand. It is where I’ve grown up with my family. Year after year sitting at row 0 on the ice. Watching the players smash and crash into the glass, as we stand on the chairs pounding. All the family outings, Stanley cup wins, meeting the players, skating on the ice, knowing the ushers and photographers by name, this feels like home to me and what an exciting home this has been to me.
2226 Heatherhill Street, green roof, flowers out front, kids playing street hockey and sidewalk chalk, parents having porch parties and never would a car drive down the street unless they lived on it. This is my house. My house where my graduation and my brothers sweet 16, my mom’s 40th and grandpas 70th Birthday parties were thrown in the backyard. Where the neighbors cut and rolled back their fences so we could have 3 backyards. With the big cirrus tents, d.j.s, candy tables, chocolate fountains, bars, bonfires, slurpee machines, we had the best backyard parties that no one will forget. This is my house and this is where I feel loved no matter how much I mess up, which happens often, it feels like home to me.
